Hey, Glass or Al body? Approx budget? There is a new completed Al bodied Kirkham for sale in VIC for $190k AUD. (Looks a good deal once you add it all up) Am just guesstimating but I think a high quality new 289 Hawk glass body would be around $100k AUD all up, this would be due to our dollar exchan...

Re: 289FIA build in Australia

Hi Glen, Yep, I can only think of about 6 or so 289 cars down under and half of those are real.... Everyone does think mine is real, so I do get quite a big head when I take it out.... :D The owners of Penrite Oil have a beautiful red Ace, may have been the one you saw. I would really love to see so...

What else did you get to do to it?[/quote] Hi Alan, Yep its on a 'club plate registration' which gives me 90 days use per year, which seems to ...

Look what I came across.....

Hey guys, Down in Australia is a sea of 427 replica's, there is less than a handful of genuine 289's and replica's and I am yet to personally come across either... :( But was quite chuffed on the weekend to see and park next to a 1962 AC Ace owned by Penrite Oil which sports the Ruddspeed 2.6 triple...
