Re: Front suspension geometry

Turns out they had AC 289 alignment settings already on the alignment computer at the local garage! All set up within 7' :D

Front suspension geometry

Reading the setup of Jag suspension with interest. Am now working thru some fine tuning on my Hawk and having just added poly bushes to front am about to realign. From what I can see on past articles I should be aiming for -0.8 camber at front. Neutral castor (I.e. Just go with Hawk setup?) but not ...

Re: Diff ratios (again)

I used a 3.3:1 which I sources through simply performance. Gerry had recommended 3.3:1 powerlock which was hard to locate. In the end Simply Performance got hold of a 3.54 and arranged for an ex Lister Jag gearbox specialist to change the crown wheel to male that 3..3:1. I can't comment on other rat...

Re: Lift the dot studs

A bit late but I just popped the tap into my battery drill and drilled the tap into the hole. It took seconds to tap each hole and worked well. Studs screwed in easily and held firm.

Re: Prop shaft speedo induction sender on jag rear end

A late update but just to say the couple of bits of angle iron on symmetrical prop bolts sorted the problem. Recalibrated to now work on 2 pulses per rotation rather than 4 (takes a minute only) and now spot on. My prop bolts appear ok. I bought bolts specifically for the hole size and cut to length...

Re: Registering a uk car in France

I sold my last Hawk to nice chap from France - Jean Jacques - who was very clear on the correct registration requirements for export to France. I don't have contact details anymore but may still be a member? And may be able to advise? Good luck. Jerry

Re: To paint or not to paint....

I fitted the studs into the body first. Then you position the hood, mark where the lift-a-dots need to go with chalk and then punch the hole in hood to fit the lift-a-dot. To fit studs drill and tap the fibreglass as per the markings. The studs then screw in nicely.

Re: Set of 5 Cobra wire wheels and tyres

Hi JOhn - suspect best to sell them as a set but if you had no takers and wanted to sell one for a spare wheel I'm on!

Re: Prop shaft speedo induction sender on jag rear end

Late reply - I got bolts from local specialist bolt shop (permafast) and cut length to size to suit diff/prop. Its a bit of an awkward job to get the bolts in and the nut on. Bolt has to go thru from the prop shaft side as not space to get in from the diff side. Was not aware of special Jag bolts? M...
