Just to prove I haven't lost hope: finished up (most of) the coolant hoses and carb/spacer installation. Finally got the correct air cleaner, too. The aim is as close to a showroom street car as possible, with most date codes correct.

That wasn't meant in any way derogatory as I'm sure you know. However, I doubt even your Mini would be a match for a Cobra on this particular track. It's a series of fast open bends joined to a 1km straight.
