XBL408E, built by John Abel, was owned by Ed Bradshaw who won the Gerry Hawkridge Trophy at Silverstone in 2011. I'm sure there was some discussion on here earlier on in the year when it was up for sale, but I can't find it at the moment. Something in the back of my mind makes me think it went abroad. (Italy perhaps)

Last I saw of it was on eBay, about 10 months ago, up for sale, by someone in Italy.

Nik
Wanted to add to the congratulations on becoming a Cobra owner.
If there was anyone who deserved to own a Cobra it's you
It looks like a great car and I know you'll give it the TLC it deserves. Hope you have many trouble free miles and lots of fun with her.
Bill
PS, I still think you would make a great events coordinator, no pressure

Smile still very definitely in place, thanks Stu!
Spent a few hours today making mirror brackets, fitting seat runners, adjusting steering column mounts for more clearance, altering the clutch to make it lighter for Mum, and was just about to start tuning it when the power went off! Figured petrol vapours by candlelight not the best of ideas!

Quite correct for originality. AC used to tune by gas lamps.nikbj68 wrote:Smile still very definitely in place, thanks Stu!

It looks from the photo like you may have left park wiper blades on a right park system Nik. As they are, there's a large area up unswept screen in your line of sight. Easily fixed if that's the case with a new pair of wiper arms.
See the picture of XLB 408E above.

Eagle eyes! Job done, they are adjustable for length & orientation, need new blades though.
