IVA retest...grrrrrrr

Post by simonjrwinter »

Had my retest booked for tomorrow morning 9 am at Gillingham....just had a call cancelling as their braketest machine has broken down. While it’s very annoying, I understand it’s unavoidable and nobody’s fault.
However, what riles is the fact that I’ve had to go to the back of the queue for a retest and it’s now booked in for the 23rd of April!
Not a happy bunny.

Have you considered complaining to DVSA that this falls below the standards of service you would reasonably expect.
Surely they should try and get you into Mitcham or Southampton at the earliest opportunity.

Yes, they gave me an email address for “compensation claims” but I don’t want money, just an early test. All other centres were booked until April. They told me I can ring and try for a cancellation. I’ll try that next week.

Best of luck.
Hopefully you have learnt from all the postings on the forum what little details needed to be attended to.
