Morning everyone,
Now I realise that I may be a little premature on this one, but I think it would be rather nice start to 2015 if we had the opportunity to get some wind in what's left of our hair on New Year's Day.
I'm aware that there is an event at Brooklands, but I wondered if any of you fancy a little drive out somewhere in the east Midlands - perhaps around Rutland Water and then followed by lunch somewhere nice?
Paul, are you up for clearing out the cob(ra) webs?

Rutland Water? You can walk there!
Provided there is no ice or salt, I'm up for it. Salt and lots of aluminium don't mix well.

I can come back now though because the silly rules have gone.
Re: New Years day
You're quite right, Paul - perhaps I need to expand my horizons, so with that in mind...
...there's an event at Stony Stratford, just outside of Milton Keynes which may fit the bill. It runs from mid morning on New Years Day until lunch time and it appears that much of this historic village is closed off to display old cars on the morning of January 1st.
So I'm thinking we could meet up around 0900 for a blast down there, display the cars, have a bite to eat and then head home.
Obviously there's Brooklands too, but I'd rather stay a little closer to home in case of inclement weather on the day.
If anyone's interested, speak up and I will make further enquiries.

That sounds more like it. Brooklands is a long way and as you rightly say, I don't think we can count on the weather being kind at that time of year.

BROOKLANDS is obviously my preference, although it sadly wouldn't be in COB81E.
