If Nick's father was prepared to offer his Aceca it would be a good addition to the AC family albeit not a 289. Do we see ourselves as competing with the stand next door.
Then we need to find an Ace and of course another member has Mk 1 Cobra. Just a thought.

He'll probably thump you if you call it an Aceca, Peter...

I don't think we'd be competing with the stand next door, it's no contest really!

The neighbours have a specific theme, so Dad`s GREYHOUND  wouldn`t be required there this year, although it has been on their stand before.

That photo demonstrates rather nicely how the happy Greyhound became the sad Cobra. Or at least it would, if Nik could be bothered to fit a grille.

Dad won`t let me have that one!
It`s really funny if you 'photoshop' the grille on the Greyhound the other way up...looks terrible! :?

Apologies to Nik.
Shows that I can't tell the difference between a Greyhound and an Aceca at this angle.

Hi All, I was at the NEC for the day on Friday so despite no longer being a club member (I sold the Hawk a couple of years ago) I had to call at the club stand and say hello. The stand and display of cars looked great, a credit to you all. Nice to have a chat with Phil and catch up. Keep up the good work!
All the best.

Just to say I think our stand was very good again and there was more to see and read than next door ( both directions) . I would say our friends next door were very approachable and I noticed they even took a photo of our stand for their next magazine.
Well done to all concerned and I think we deserved our carpeted walkway position not far from the Ferrari owners club and an enormous TVR stand which may have been sponsored as they had the new TVR on an elevated platform.

Ditto that, a great 20th anniversary celebration!
Being associated with both Clubs is a pleasure, and the fact that, for the first time, we were in such close proximity, allowed a good deal of 'getting to know each other', which I hope everyone enjoyed as much as I did.
The display certainly puts the 289 Register in the premier league, and it was good to see so many members attending over the weekend.
Great cars too!
