Just returned from this, slightly disappointed given such wonderful weather.
I first went to this 15 or so years ago when it was a small event, and it was a great little-known-about event. My first time back.
Now it has expanded massively, OK thats progress, but surprising how many pedestrian cars on the track, considering it was 'Goodwood'. I thought our local show in the village had a better selection.
At 7:40 we queued for 25mins minutes to get into the Jackie Stewart pavillion for breakfast, lovely surroundings, but then waited a further 20 mins for the food, that was pre-ordered and pre-paid. My coffee had gone cold by the time the food arrived, the egg congealed, as were the beans. Very
nice sausage and bacon, but the rest a bit meehh.
I also don't understand why there were so many 'ordinary' classic cars that were hard tops/coupes.
May be I am just becoming a grumpy old man.
Interested to hear other people's thoughts.
Goodwood Soft Top Sunday
Re: Goodwood Soft Top Sunday
Maybe I'm a GOM too, but it does say soft top sunday, bit of a clue? Perhaps Goodwood getting too commercial and as long as you pay anything goes. Shame if that's the case.
