Goodwood Festival of Speed

Post by clive » Thu Mar 26, 2020 10:00 pm

I see that the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July has now been cancelled. Things don't look good for motor racing this summer. :(
Cheers, Clive.

(If I'm not here I'm in my workshop or on the golf course!)

Sadly you are right Clive. Motorsport UK cancelled all of the event permits they had issued for this year and there will be more cancellations to come.

Sad news indeed David. I hope you and Denise are keeping well. Keith is stranded in Rothera and trying to get back home possibly via the Falklands.
Cheers, Clive.

We are fine thanks - just a bit bored. We built new buildings on Rothera and Signy about 20-25 years ago. The only route home I think is (or certainly was) via Port Stanley although if the RAF flights were full then the route was via S America.

South America is in lockdown, so as you say Falklands appears the only way but the usual refuelling stops like Ascension Island and Cape Verde are closed too. Hopefully something can be sorted as the winter is setting in.
Cheers, Clive.

I have tickets for the Revival in September.
