Roadholding

Post by allan horsfall »

Hi Guys,
Been away for the last 7 weeks hence no contributions, gave the car a bit of a run today and didnt like the handling, she tends to have a subtle weave that starts at about 80. Not something I want to leave till the Mulsanne straight to ponder about.
Im going tto double check the tyre pressures, but my instinct is front geometry. Its set up as MGB but Im now not sure thats best, any suggestions greatfully received.

Over the weekend I'll update the front nudge bar post with hope fully some photo's.

Regards Allan

Allan I suggest you check the toe in first. That's the normal cause of unstable steering. Assuming you haven't touched a kerb then pot holes are the most likely cause of misalignment.

OK forget it, it looks like the tyre pressures. That will teach me to be so foolish as to take the car out after 7 weeks standing without a proper check of the pressures.
Peter, I will also get the geometry checked.

Thanks
Allan
