Fitting sidescreens

Post by KevinW »

Having just read the relevant article:

I notice that there is a small difference in height between the top of the sidescreen frame and the top of the windscreen frame surround, governed by the rake of the screen.

Can any one tell me the correct screen rake for fitting sidescreens, and how much vertical height there is between the top of the sidescreen frame and the top of the windscreen frame surround? I have just over an inch at the moment which looks quite large.

I bought Kaiser Billy's bubbletop last year for modding to fit on to my Crendon. But also unsure how much clearance to give between the sidescren frames (which are currently in bare metal) and the bubbletop side screen recess for a 'comfortable fit. The bubbletop will need some surgery, so I will need to set this up carefully before I get the dremel and resin pots come out.
