Does anyone know the thread size of the diff bolts (no 11 in pic)?
I want to buy a tap to run down the threads.
Thanks
Simon

I reckon Ben at Simply Performance will tell you off the top of his head.
He's doing the rear end for the Hawk right now.

Kev, out of interest would he be looking at making the Jag rear have a diet and lose some excess weight. Ali diff housing or changing any other parts.
e.g Hawks support Steel is rather strong and heavy.
Having a Rover engine in my Hawk means it’s the rear that’s the heavier half.

Hi Peter,
do you mean an ally diff case or the frame (diff support) the diff mounts to?
I will have a standard Jaguar iron cast diff housing.
I haven't got the IRS mounting kit (diff support) yet, need one though.
I've gone with outboard rear discs BTW.

Hi Kev,
Actually I was referring to both diff casing and the support steels.
Not sure whether a standard Ali Jag diff casing exists otherwise it the need to go down the Cosworth route.
I appreciate that any of the steel support angle would need to be a fair bit thinker section to take the strain but I’m sure there must be some mileage in looking at a diet for the overall assembly.
Nice to hear that you are going the more authentic route with outboard discs. I don’t know how that affects the overall weight or changes the road holding with the change in un sprung weight.
I know several members have now converted.
