leaf springs clunk/twang ?
leaf springs clunk/twang ?
I get a twang/clank noise when my rear suspension is tested, for instance a dip in the road at speed. Its not the exhausts or sump hitting the ground. Ive Ruled out the panhard rod hitting the diff as bent a wave. Its not the spare wheel jumping in the boot after securing it down. I am guessing it is down to the leaf springs somehow cant figure out what is going on?
Re: leaf springs clunk/twang ?
If the car is jacked up are all the leaves still clamped properly. One assumes you have checked all the bolting e.g. the rear hanger.

Yes everything is as it should be, I am at the point of mounting a GoPro underneath to see what happens! I will keep you posted
Re: leaf springs clunk/twang ?
I have two leaf parabolics on mine and had a similar problem. Tracked it down to the top of the spring at a point approx. 180mm aft of the front mounting bolt hitting the top bit of the box section of the chassis under full compression.
