I waited a few days for the longer (15mm) threaded lift the dot studs but got round to fitting the studs and Tonneau today. Pretty straightforward, I’ll have to remove my rear view mirror to put it on, but that’s only a quick job to take off and put back on with a thumb screw.
Did it gradually using the tool that Gerry lent me and am pretty pleased with the outcome. The tonneau isn’t fastened at all to the doors. While I have the press studs that came with the tonneau, I’m going to make up an 8mm length of rod with a lift the dot stud on top, insert another fastener in the tonneau and use the sidescreens mounting holes in the doors to hold the tonneau taught over the doors.

Simon, you might like to see if you can engineer in a bar in the middle of the cockpit to hold the passenger side of the tonneau steady when driving on your own. It might not work with the FIA tonneau as it’s difficult to fold the drivers side away.
I have often thought it would have been better if the zip went completely through to the back.

Re: Tonneau fitted
When I drive with the tonneau fitted I just roll the driver's side back and tuck it behind the seat. It works fine at motorway speeds. No need to fit anything in the middle.

There speaks a man without a roll bar.
Those of us with the roll bar can’t roll it down behind the seat as the diagonal prevents it.

Re: Tonneau fitted
I have a roll bar and hoop. Just a quick fitting without taking much time to roll it neatly...
Cheers, Clive.

Re: Tonneau fitted
Thanks for that Clive I will have to give it a go. Rather surprised I haven’t managed that to date.
Obviously too keen to get the tonneau off the roll bar.

Or too much of a softie to drive in the rain with a hood!
Cheers, Clive.

Re: Tonneau fitted
Hi Clive, I think you meant to say ‘without a hood’ and yes you are mostly correct. It all depends how heavy the rain is and how much going to make the carpets soggy.
I note in your last photo all the others had hoods up so I am not alone.
