But if you remove the filters for show effect on an event, what happens to the bases?
I drive mine the last 5.5k miles with just very fine plastic mesh filters from EMPI. Hope inside is all okay Nige

Re: Well, that didn't fit
Migge, the bases could be removed prior to taking it to a show, and could just run mesh filters on the trumpets. I've got a plan up my sleeve, that if it looks ok, would probably mean I'd leave the filters on
Re: Well, that didn't fit
Hi Peter, the bigger engine should be going in, sometime in October all going well. I'm going to take the opportunity to detail the engine bay a bit more, and to fit the new rear valance and redo the rear end of the car. This will include fitting the L542 tail lights and reprofiling the rear arches ready for the new season

Thanks Phil, I'll be sure to do that once everything is finished. Incidentally, the car's being featured in the October issue of TKC (Total Kit Car) magazine

Hi Nige,
Bearing in mind that I have already read the Nov edition of EVO when does the Oct issue of TKC hit the shelves.

Re: Well, that didn't fit
well, I've had some period correct Gurney Weslake valve covers cast, and as it so happens, GPG4C ran the same covers when it competed in the Modsports series back in the '70's so it's bang on perfect
I've also been busy making some "Weslake" tops for the K&N filters. These are hand formed out of aluminium and will be visible through the hood scoop when it's closed. I toyed with painting the backdrop black under the Weslake lettering, but have now decided against it and they'll have a raw ali finish

Hey Nige. Hope all is good. Let me know if you want to get any more valve covers made. My spare 289 for the planned GT might need some
