Re: Le Mans Hard Top on BRA Mk1 289 - Anyone Done It?

As Kev says, check out my thread " well that didnt fit", in the " General Cobra" section of the forum, it shows how I made a LeMans hardtop fit a car that it wasnt designed to fit, it gives step by step procedure. Starts on the second page if I remember correctly

Re: Well, that didn't fit

Final little details added. It was quite normal to have pinstripes on cars back in the '70's especially on the Super Saloons and Modsports race cars, so I've added some black ones, the same as those that border the white stripes, around the front and rear arches. I think that these are subtle enough...

Re: Well, that didn't fit

The finishing touches to the bodywork. Autocraft was the name of my first business back in the '70's, it was quite well known as I had a number of cars featured in various car magazines and they all mentioned the Autocraft name, so I figured it would tie in nicely using my surname and business name,...

Re: MOT emissions

If you recall, I posted a load of info up a few years ago regarding this. The Government were looking to change the emissions test to age of vehicle manufacture/build and not the engine age as it had been. I think this was in 2018. After a lot of people contacting " the powers that be", the decision...

Re: Well, that didn't fit

Well, all of the mods are finally finished on the Cobra. I took it out earlier for its first run since all of the suspension and brake upgrades have been carried out. All I can say is what a difference. It feels extremely well planted at speed, handles corners exceptionally well now, and the EBC bra...

Re: Well, that didn't fit

With the longer driveshafts and bottom arms now fitted, the rear tyres now sit nicely in the rear arches. These shafts and arms are 20mm wider than the ones I took off. https://i.imgur.com/L9WUXZQ.jpg Been toying with the idea of putting some pinstripes on the arches, not sure about this yet, but it...
