Re: Coil breaking down?

Hmmmm try Putting ohm meter on coil, normally should read 1.5 on 1st circuit, secondary circuit should be 6000-7000. (If I recall for ballast coils) Most carbs like min 5-6psi fuel pressure. Have a squiz at one of your plugs aswell, visual and also check and make sure you have the right heat rated p...

Re: Finally put her on the dyno!

Hi Aaron, I think coloured wheels is a very personal thing. I have previously toyed with the idea of gold centres for my alloys but decided the plain no frills look is better. Personally my view is chrome or silver wires look better than black. A relative in Melbourne has a pale green ( apparently ...

Re: Finally put her on the dyno!

Hi Aaron, you must be pleased. The plus point of an older engine is that it is well run in and loosened up. I recon that until to have 20-25K miles completed then it it’s not settled in and loose enough to really rev. I’m currently looking for a suitable rolling road who are prepared to adjust the ...

Finally put her on the dyno!

Hi All, After sorting out some recent fuel pump issues, and in general running a lil bit rich thought it was about time I give it a dyno tune... Alot of jet changing ended up with 220hp out of the 39 year old 3.5..... With recent head work/exhaust re-new and other changes the dyno place extracted an...

Re: Cost of 289 in Australia

Hey, Glass or Al body? Approx budget? There is a new completed Al bodied Kirkham for sale in VIC for $190k AUD. (Looks a good deal once you add it all up) Am just guesstimating but I think a high quality new 289 Hawk glass body would be around $100k AUD all up, this would be due to our dollar exchan...
