Wiper motors

Hi all, still waiting for my urgent IVA test from July! However I was checking the car over and discovered I'd only a roughly 90 degree sweep on the wiper blades, which needs to be 120 as I read it? I've got a 105 tooth wheel in the motor currently and I have convinced myself that if I get the optio...

Wiper motor drive gear

Morning all, whilst I'm still waiting for the IVA test, just checking over a few bits, the one I would welcome info on is the above. I presume you need the 120/125 tooth drive to get the required sweep from the wiper blades? Can anyone confirm which is the correct gear wheel so I can check? Regards ...

IVA tests

Evening all, is anyone else waiting for an appointment for the test? I realise Covid has messed up more than just this, I put the papers in, in April and was later informed that as I had applied before 4th July I was able to apply for an emergency test, which I did on the 6th July, but have heard no...

Sadly, I can't make it either, as I'm waiting for IVA to resume for the Ace and the Marcos has a clutch slave cylinder leak

Re: MX5 seat fitment

BTW it helps a lot to use a cardboard template longer than the seat. Fix to the seat with the seat bolts. You can then position the seat, fixing the position of the cardboard with tape, so the cardboard can be replaced giving you the ideal seat position. Then comes the task of measuring to ensure yo...

Re: MX5 seat fitment

Hi Kev, I think it depends on how tall you are. I'm 6'2" so had to bolt to the floor to be able to look through the windscreen! You need to be very careful about the position of the chassis as for me they were where I wanted to fit the seats, so quite a bit of measuring to successfully fit, in the e...
