Re: Jerky clutch pedal

The only difference with the engine not running is the fly wheel and clutch aren't spinning. You might need to split the engine and box to make sure everything is still tight. Plenty of possible causes for clutch judder. I always use blue loctite or Arp thread sealant on clutch and flywheel fastenin...

Re: Wanted - spinners and steering wheel for IVA

My boss isn't a collapsible one but I don't think it's required as we have a double jointed steering linkage? I'm not sure if the nuts will fit, PM John Housego to see how he resolved it. As to the boss, technically you are right and if you follow the manual you are correct but it does seem to be t...

Hello Allan, Welcome aboard. The only things to consider are that A, Gerrys waiting list is around 15-18 months and B, all options are possible but if you go "off piste" things become a little more tricky and potentially may end up costing a fair bit more. Cars need to be built to a standard to pass...

Re: HAWK EXHAUST ON A BRA?

The mounts on the Hawk system are designed to match the mounting points on a Hawk. So to answer your question, no it probably won't go straight on. That aside it could well be made to fit.

Re: MOT emissions

I'd get in touch with DVLA and see about getting it added to the V5 as you may have issues going forwards. Enmisions are relevant to the engine age. If your engine was originally in your donor vehicle then it would be vehicle age. If you get a certificate of engine age from one of the RV8 providers ...

Re: Let the games begin ...

I'll assume you have the same wheel offset as mine from MWS and Ed would have used the same bolt length and in that case you'll have sufficient clearance.

Re: Gearbox issues

Hi Andy,
I had a problem selecting gears on mine (T5) I changed the fluid (ATF Dexron 3 in a T5) and the problem is gone. Might be worth a try in the first instance.

Re: brake bleedingHi

As already confirmed, Bias split front to back. Which master cylinder depends upon who built the car, but if you follow the pipes from the two brake masters you should quickly see which goes to the front and to the back. It cannot be stressed enough that brakes are an important safety feature of a c...
