Re: Dash layout

Thanks peter - I do indeed have the 2 fluted knobs for wiper and lights, but haven't braved the wipers switch issue yet. I do have a complete authentic Trigo washer system though ;) Some years ago I ran a group buy on the other site, on these knobs and imported them from SPF in the US before Ashley ...

Re: Dash layout

Hi Kevin, Yes, they are the ones but there’s a big BUT. Checking my invoices and my spares drawer I have two 501’s spare and an invoice for two type 233’s bayonet fitting. Because of their long life I wouldn’t have ordered two spare so that must mean that two of the 8 instruments have the 233 type ...

Re: Fitting a hard top.

Thanks Clive, understood, and very useful. My problem is that the hardtop will not sit down on the car properly until I have finished the grp surgery (sits too high), so I can't determine if my screen is at the correct rake to ensure the sidescreens will align correctly with the hardtop. Don't want ...

Re: Fitting a hard top.

Hi Simon, The Hawk LeMans hardtop is made to replicate the LeMans 289's of the 60's with the flatter rake of the track cars. Nigel is more than capable of making the hardtop fit the more vertical rake of the screen. There's a fair few man hours required to get it right and getting it "to be right"....

Re: Fitting a hard top.

On a related note, does anyone have a pic/measurement of the sidescreens fitted without a hood?
I am not sure exactly how far short of the top of the windscreen these should come, as shown in pic below, taken from

Re: Fitting a hard top.

I have a similar problem fitting a bubbletop to a 427 body with a roll bar. I am going to have to split it in half, add a 2-3" fillet and re-profile the rear skirt, as described in the technical articles on here. Quite a lot of work, still plucking up the courage to get the angle grinder out.
