are you sure it's drivetrain, especially if there on tickover presumably out of gear? is it speed related if you freewheel car? or could it be water pump or belts given limited usage? belts can be quietened temporarily by dose of talcolm powder as a test

my pennies worth... I have just installed a rebuilt Rover 4.0 and queried oil to use with Real Steel who supplied the camshaft. Their reply as follows:- "The oil to use for first 500+ miles is Competition Cams break-in oil ( BY1590 £6.60 per US qt ) The additive is BY159 £12.98 Normally we supply 6 ...

hi
just had another thought i have a Malpassi filter king fuel pressure regulator fitted. do you think this might need adjusting to take account of new engine being slightly larger at 4.0 vs 3.5?

but surely i would see a problem under normal acceleration on the road?
