Re: 302 engine mounts for a Hawk FIA

thanks Clive you're a star.
I spoke to RealSteel yesterday as it happens.
They only have the taller version in stock currently.
As I'm going with a ram stack I think I might need the slightly lower version.

Re: BRA 289 Cobra Steering wheel and column

There were several for sale on eBay when I was looking recently.
There are three different top splines, you probably want a pre-1969 one.
Although bosses are available to use the slightly later ones too.

Re: Diff bolt sizes

Hi Peter,
do you mean an ally diff case or the frame (diff support) the diff mounts to?
I will have a standard Jaguar iron cast diff housing.
I haven't got the IRS mounting kit (diff support) yet, need one though.
I've gone with outboard rear discs BTW.

Re: Diff bolt sizes

I reckon Ben at Simply Performance will tell you off the top of his head.
He's doing the rear end for the Hawk right now.

I've got the GoEFI similar system on the Mustang very good it is too.
Easy to set up and self learning.

Re: Diff ratios (again)

I'm building the the Sebring with a 3.54 PL (derated) and a T5 recommended by Ben at Simply Performance.
The over driven 5th in the T5 will give a nice cruise.

Re: Tripo headlights

Hi Kev, I've had two Cobras with them on.
One (The Contemporary) went through IVA with them too.
The second a DAX failed IVA on the lack of a beam pattern.
As you say all Tripods don't appear to be equal.

Re: Le Mans Classic 2020

I've booked Portsmouth - Le Havre on the Wednesday overnight and Caen - Portsmouth coming back on Monday morning.
Hotel stop over in Caen on Sunday night.
Will be camping overlooking Tertre Rouge as usual all being well.

Re: Le Mans Classic 2020

I've camped overlooking Tertre Rouge for the last 3 Classics. It's a private campsite for the Triumph Sports Six club. It's excellent and has it's own bar and facilities. It's for TSSC members but if they haven't filled it themselves they open it up to others. As we have members of the UKCRC that ar...
