Re: Spark plugs

The resistance is not only for your own radios protection (should you have one).
Also for the suppression of noise for some distance around the engine.
Even nearby houses and TV signals.
I have been affected by this many years ago.
They test for suppression during IVA if I remember correctly?

Re: Parts wanted for IVA test

I agree with Stewbie, As you have a heater and vents it's obvious that you'll be fitting some kind of screen. Now or later. If you remove the aero screens they may think "incomplete". Catch 22 I think. I have an aero fuel cap on mine so no IVA issues there. I have an aero screen too, but I'm actuall...

Re: Parts wanted for IVA test

Those aero screens will not pass IVA as I doubt they are E Marked or radiused correctly.

Re: FIA owners: tyres

I think it's brake cleaner spray that will remove the lettering, should you want to?
My local tyre place gave me that tip.

Re: Radiator for a 302

Hi Jake, indeed I have looked at them. I ended up buying one of their of the peg range (70mm thick core) which I'm hoping will be big enough. They wanted another £160 +Vat to modify it to make it taller. I hope I don't regret my choice but I'm not intending to race the car. https://www.ebay.co.uk/it...

Re: Alloy Radiator Upgrade

Hi Roger, the main question is where are you mounting it?
In the nose of the body or between the chassis rails?
It makes a big difference in the available space.
In my build I'm going between the frame rails.

MX5 seat fitment

Hi again all,
a quick question fir those of you that have used MX5 seats.
Did you bolt them in on their original rails?
Or maybe bolt them direct to the floor in fixed position?
I don't want to re-invent the wheel, knowing that it's been done many times.

Many thanks
