Problem solved - almost. Took an angle grinder to the exhaust just after the 90 degree bend (couldn't access the top of the bend) and removed the exhaust. Had to remove all the studs on the headers on that side, so I could now jiggle the block huggers for a bit of room. Was just about able to get at...

I assume the problem is with the pump , I had a glass inline filter before the pump and replaced it with a fuel tap, because I was fed up draining the tank to try and work out where the problem was. The had a blocked filter once which causd me to breakdown. But now when I get the car running and set...
