Does anyone know if this is a straight replacement for the one Gerry supplies. i.e. it fits into the existing fuel hose!

I think you'll find Ceandess will only supply the top hinged bit - you'll need the bit it hinges to from Gerry, the bit that goes through the body and into the pipe to the top of the tank.
I bought new caps from Ceandess a while back, as they still make the one Gerry supplies, which has a lock, and the simple version without. This is not a correct cap as the release button is square - it should be circular. I asked them about a production run but the cost was prohibitive. Hopefully that's now been sorted.

With the price of fuel what it is, I think I will keep the locking one.
Cheers, Clive.

Can I fit the cap in the right location on an ACE ie on the LH wing or will it have to be central behind seats to suit petrol tank ?

You can always get the petrol tank modified to fit the cap where you want it to be. Don't put off doing these type of things during your build as you'll only regret not doing them later.
I changed loads of things from standard to hopefully make it more authentic, after all It's my car!
