You want monsooncarhoods.co.uk in Lower Dicker near Hailsham. Its where some of the guys went to from Gerry's trimmer who retired.

They did a pretty good job on my Kirkham weather gear.

Bearing in mind the attention to detail when do you add the patina to make it look original ?

I try to restore all my 'classics' to as close to new condition as possible, not as aged copies! Otherwise - why restore them? I put the patina in over the years. That's the plan, anyway.

Gerry used to use Les at Polyfacto. There was a legal issue in there somewhere and I believe Les retired, but Polyfacto still exists as Polyfacto Monsoon. Whether it's the same Polyfacto, I don't know... John Skinner Trimming in Cheltenham advertises as 'ex-Polyfacto', no idea what they are like.

Thanks

Unfortunately more pressing problems....car passed mot but running badly, edelbrock even with two springs doesn't want to return to closed butterflies in idle, so driving it means when gas is off pedal it still raving, also knocking noise when driving off and any acceleration whilst running and simple to fix new front springs as too low with low slung exhaust. But hood will come soon will look into suggestions.
Thanks
Tony who may have a cobra for sale soon if he can't fix it after all this time

Hi guys

Sorry to interrupt but I saw a few asking for trimmers near West Sussex, my dad Mike Thomas Trimming are in peters field, they've just done headlining for my hardtop & are doing me a tonneau, check them out if needed.

Thanks
