Black 289 BRA Mk 1 Cobra - Help Tracing Original Builder

Post by Kevbuts »

Hi All,

I am new to the 289 Register, and new to Cobra ownership. I purchased my first Cobra on Sunday 1st December 2019 which is a Black BRA Mk1 289 Cobra replica that was built by David Little of Aberdeen, Scotland (according to the historic I received with the car) during 1985 - 1989.

I would dearly love to find out more about the history of my car so would appreciate it if anyone can put my in touch with the original builder, David Little, if possible.

Thank you in advance,

Kevin

Hi Kevin,
That's a nice looking car. There are a few BRA owners who are members.
You might want to consider joining the club. We also have a large contingent in Scotland who may know the car or David Little.
Just click on the JOIN THE 289 REGISTER banner. Loads of benefits and you get access to other members contact details plus the club magazine.
Cheers

Hi Stu,
Thanks for the kind words about my car. I will be joining T289R very soon. I have wanted a Cobra replica for about 20 years, but life has got in the way, then prices started to rise and I thought the opportunity may never arrive. However, this all changed last weekend when I bought my 289. I love the car, but as with any hobby, there are a few modifications and improvements I want to make to put my stamp on it. It is a great car to start with though, and drives really nicely. I thoroughly enjoyed my 150 mile drive home in it on Sunday :-)
All the best, Kevin

Thanks Mark

I am really pleased with the car, and after making a few adjustments to the carburettor it is now running really nicely.

I have just bought an ignition upgrade from RPi Engineering, so will be fitting that over the Christmas break.

Thanks for the offer of help / assistance. I appreciate it.

Would be great to see some photos of your car if possible as yours sounds very similar to mine.

All the best,

Kev
