Obviously nothing to do with me, just thought it might be interesting.

Was it me or did the paint look poor, might be dust or the way it was filmed
It sits well though and looks "right" ..very good

Looks like a very nicely built car plus it has a Ford engine.
I appreciate that this is a commercial agents selling price yet to be achieved but heh should we be re appraising the insurance value of our cars again.?
It’s 10k more than I would have expected.

Personally, I think dealers have a slightly different clientele to those looking for cars on this website. Those buyers want the reassurance of a dealer should anything go wrong with their “kit car” Mark (who runs THT) has almost single handed li been responsible (and he admits it) for the price of GT40 replicas going from mid-30’s to 80K plus!

Exactly right Simon - and recently borne out by the auction sale of the Hawk Ace EYY 599B for £29,750. THT had it for 6 months at £45k !!
Rather implies they were overcooking it a tad!
Of course, auction is bought as seen (more or less, save misdescription) and in the current climate you have limited opportunity to examine the car.

I think £55k would be an insurance value not a sales value, but heh one mans ‘not sure’, is another mans ‘must have’. You pays your money and takes your choice.
Best of luck in your viewing and hope you find it ticks all the right boxes for you.

The Sage Green 289 is mine, I bought it on a whim last week whilst looking at the XK120 and it's lovely. Alex has done a lot of work on it such as a 4 barrel Holly, new leather seats, new smaller steering wheel and so on. I am now hoping for some decent weather to drive the thing, it hasn't really stopped raining since I got it but at least I have a comfortablr chair in my Motor House to sit and look at it. I have no doubt I will be asking all you chaps lots of questions as I get to know the car so please be kind!!!! Thank you
