Hi Simon,
not ready for a swap at the moment.
Just got the ECU back from FAST (Comp Cams) in the USA, hopefully working.
The EFI controller and harness is a FAST XFI Street set up.
The actual throttle bodies are from Speedmaster.
A lot cheaper than Borla but did need a bit of refining to get it to fit properly.
A bit pee'd off at the moment having just postponed my IVA for the third time. (only three amendments allowed).
Now I have to pay again. GRRR!

Can I ask why you are chasing 400+BHP?

My car has 360bhp and i really would not want any more. It's pretty damn quick and its just on the right side of road usable. Remember, as good a Gerry's chassis is, and any Cobra chassis for that matter is concerned, we are talking about 1950's technology, and there is a limit to just how much of that power is usable. OK, billiard table smooth tracks and sticky track tyres, yes, but on the UK roads, with bumps and dips, you really have to think about where you are using that power. From point A to point B a 300hp Cobra is just going to be as quick as a 500hp Cobra, and not end up in a hedge.

Steering wise, stick to a 205/215 width tyre and set up the suspension right and you won't need assistance.

Clutch cylinder. Concentrics are great until they go wrong. An external is much easier to put right. Get the bore size of master and slave cylinders right and pedal pressure is not an issue (although clearace for the arm and angle can be tight.

LHD may effect price but if you are going to build a really authentic Sebring race replica, why give the game away by putting the wheel on the wrong side? plus LHD is more sociable

Dead right Si, my car is 335 BHP and pretty damn quick.(quick enough for me)
Myself, if I was chasing more power I would be thinking about a car with 4WD, traction/launch control etc. In normal driving, the times you use full power are few and far between, certainly not enough to be fully familiar with the characteristics of the car under extreme load. If it were a daily driver, you would have more opportunity to exploit/get used to the power.
JMHO of course.

Having owned a 500+ bhp 445 FE big block Cobra.
You need one thing in for sure RESPECT! for the car.
Don't drive like you stole it or it will try to kill you.

thanks Si, as the car will be track focused and based on what ive driven and raced before, i was thinking that p/w would be nice

but i agree that probably could be too much power for road.

im thinking also about fuel injection for the ford motor.. have seen some good systems
