Back in the fold!

Post by simonjrwinter »

As many of you know, I sold my Hawk FIA due to a recent house move…I loved that car.
However, I’ve very (very!) fortunately been able to purchase another register members part-completed FIA which is (almost) a clone of my old car.
Powered by a fully rebuilt and upgraded Rover engine, this will be perfect for my needs, and I can’t wait to get “stuck in” with the build. (Notwithstanding the house/garden improvements and 4 Grandchildren-looking-after duties!)
Just need a set of Gerry’s super comfy seats and a tonneau now…..

As it is part built you will need to put it through IVA or is it merely cosmetic parts needed to finish bearing mind it appears to be finish painted complete with the racing identifier yellow stripe.
Perhaps send me some photographic evidence to enable it to be validated in our 289 register.

Yes, it will need IVA-ing and registering. I’ve now got to try and remember all those IVA “issues” that I had to deal with in 2019 when I took my green Hawk for IVA (and two re-tests!)

Best of luck.
There is some guidance in the wiki for IVA issues.
