Have you ever thought what would be a good piece of technology to be used in a car. We take electric windows as a norm. AC is also pretty common. Sporty cars have pre determined driving modes which can be selected to alter the response of the engine, gearbox and suspension. But what next?
The latest Porsche has a sound sensor mounted in the wheel arch to detect whether the road is wet. It then sends a signal to the cars computer to not only warn the driver but adjust the cars responses to reflect the reduced grip available.
So what’s next do you think?

I'm not sure cars need a lot more - and the certainly don't need 'apps' on the dashboard so you can be distracted from the important business of driving.
I was hoping to see some kind of materials innovation that would make cars smaller and lighter. Seems like about 10% of the girth of my parnter's car is in the thickness of the doors. I dunno - maybe this new wonder material called graphene might allow a stronger, lighter thinner door? That would give greater fuel economy and the cars would fit down country lanes better...

If cars could hover, it would save the council a fortune in road repairs
