Clearly we have chosen to down the route of Cobra and not Ferrari. There have been numerous litigations over the use of the word Cobra but thankfully they have drifted into the ether.
Spare a thought for a Ferrari replica owner, specifically one that pretends to be a 250GTO.
I court in Italy has just decreed that a GTO250 is officially a work of art and that it should be protected in law against copies and replicas. An original one has just changed hands for $48 million USD.
One hopes it won’t prevent Nick Mason and others from still turning up to the Goodwood Revival.

That’s a shame. I was daydreaming that one day I would build a Mirage 250: http://mirageautomotive.co.uk/mirage-gt/
Of course I’ve neither the time nor the cash, but hopefully they won’t be affected by this.
