You are right Roger, this photo was reduced to 239k Maybe a mail to Andy wiki@the289register.com might provide a solution
PS Sonia took this as the sight made her giggle

This was the only way I could access the fuel pump on my old Humber Imperial, 35 years ago:
Humber 4.jpg

Now I don't understand at all. This was 4.2MB, and it was accepted to post! I've reduced it to 900kb.
Does that make any sense?

No Clive, I don't need it as most of the forums I post on take photos with no trouble, and don't want to get the hassle I had with photobucket.

Its nice to know I'm not the only one currently labouring on one of Solihull's finest. I'm struggling with motivation at the moment, but would love to have it ready for winter

I’ve never seen the appeal of old land rovers, but then again, I’ve never driven one or come to that, ever been in one!

They are slow, noisy, handle like a bag of shite, uncomfortable but I love em to bits.
I see Ineos have release pics of the new Grenadier today, personally I think it will sell well!

I had my fill of them during my time at 661VGS Squadron, Kirknewton, (which incidentally is where 289 Squadron was formed in 1941) They were clapped out bangers which ran on 100l aviation fuel and were as responsive as a barge.
Cheers, Clive.
