Covid case count by age

Post by peterc »

I don’t normally bother to get embroiled in the numbers of people who have contracted COVID, but as we have now been pushed into tier 3, I decided to investigate the local count for Surrey.
Makes interesting reading showing the affect that children are making specifically in the Guildford area
Highest group was the 30 to 39 age group by significant margin.
2nd highest group was 10 to 19 yr olds.
3rd highest was 40 to 49
4th highest was 0 to 9
5th group was 20 to 29
6th group was 50 to 59 with a total of only 50% of the 5th group.
7th was 60+ not surprisingly as they are presumably more concerned on their health plus most would be retired.
So much for not suspecting children as being the spreaders. Clearly the toddlers don’t understand what is needed they just want to play. I had expected the students to be at or near the top. I’m guessing that the 1st group are possibly parents of the 2nd group.

So my friends be aware and keep your distance especially when meeting family at Christmas.
