I found a few photos in the archive.
The engine is certainly well back under the windscreen.
I was intrigued with the vent in the rear screen facing to the rear.as opposed to others directing air down into the car ( presumably brakes)

I drove one about 20+ years ago round the test track (1 slow lap) at Chobham…..I remember nothing at all about it as we also had Ford’s MK3 GT40 and a MK1 there as well and I was MUCH more excited about them!
In the 90’s we didn’t have mobile phone cameras and all the footage and the finished story we shot has gone in the mists of time apart from one small clip…. https://youtu.be/IdLVCqcCcs0

My recent issue of EVO shows the 5300GT as lower with single faired in headlights and a different tail treatment. Maybe there are different models. Is your photo meant to be of the GT model?
Of course they may well have adjusted it further for the corsa ( race) version.
