Does anyone know when the car club packages will be released?

First they change the date, and now the name. Will the format change next? It sounds like the emphasis is more on what is going on around the track than the actual classic racing.
Cheers, Clive.

I see the display packages are now on sale. Do we have a club code?

Just announced details of the music line up...

Friday:- The Christians and ABC.
Saturday:- Sugababes.
Sunday:- McFly.

I don't think I'll be hanging about.
Cheers, Clive.

I suspect this Bank Holiday Weekend Epic Family Fun Spectacular (with a bit of classic car stuff going on somewhere in the background) spends most of the income on the music line-up.
It's getting pretty pricey too if your main interest is the cars rather than all the razzmatazz!!
Perhaps we should be looking for an alternative AGM venue??

I still think Silverstone is reasonable value for money, particularly if you get the Early Bird tickets. £100 for the three days is the least of my outlays. £450+ for fuel is the most expensive cost of my trip but I do not grudge that for the sheer enjoyment of the 1,000 mile round trip driving some of my favourite roads through the Borders and beyond. It is only when you hit the motorways that it becomes tedious.

I too have wondered about a different venue for the AGM, but I don't think many members would attend a half/one hour meeting if there was little else to do. Silverstone is unique, not only because of the racing, but also because of the other car clubs which are there. I cannot think of any alternative that I would be prepared to travel a large distance to attend. Do you have any suggestions?
Cheers, Clive.

Ah yes, I didn't realise that the 3 day package was £130 - I only looked at the Sunday at £94 - which I thought a bit steep for 1 day. If you're making a long weekend of it then for 3 days it does look good value.
Shelsley Classic Nostalgia 22/23rd July is becoming quite a decent classic car event without the "razzmatazz" and is quite centrally placed.

It is practically the same distance from Perthshire as Silverstone yet the journey time is slightly longer. To me, centrally located would Carlisle/ Newcastle area. 😀
