Cranleigh Classic - August
Cranleigh Classic - August
It is important that you register your car before July 1st quoting the club code of UCYEDGD as this enables the organisers to arrange the size of our pitch. If you don’t use the code we don’t get the space allocated!
So log on to carshow.cranleighlions.org and register now.
This event is well attended with around 2000 Classics from all makes. There is the usual stalls selling both useful car bits and the garage rubbish plus several food stalls.

Thanks John and thanks also for improving my posting about the event.
I think that makes three of us so far. Still a long way to go to exceed our previous best total of 12.

Re: Cranleigh Classic - August
That was me actually Peter - I thought it might be a bit more eye-catching with a logo!
I'm booked in for this - see you there! Trying to get my seats installed this week, and (if the rain ever lets up) plan to get the soft-top done sometime soon too...

Apologies Andrew.
I must confess that after I made my posting I did wonder whether it was your good self.
Good to hear that you intend to come.
I’m still hoping that all the guys that have attended Ian’s monthly meet will sign up and attend.
I’m sure the owners of the 12 cars we had 2-3 years ago all enjoyed themselves so hope they will make the effort.

BOOKING DEADLINE is 1st July for Cranleigh Classic Car Show.
Just a reminder to all those located in the South. There is now less than two weeks to register your car to attend the Cranleigh Classic and get a parking space on the club stand. We only have 4 cars to date which is a long way from a previous attendance of 12.
If you don’t register then we won’t get the space allocated so don’t think you can just roll up on the day.
Come on guys it’s a good event.

Re: Cranleigh Classic - August
Hopefully entrants will have been sent an email giving them a plan of the site for Cranleigh. Just in case I can advise we are in zone A which is on the far side of the field e.g opposite side to where you drive in over the bridge. It’s approx where we were a couple of years ago although we were probably zone B then so it will be closer to the corner this time.
So when you have made the left hand turn to drive down the far side of the field start looking for our allocated pitch.
They suggest that you can now print your ticket which will have the zone letter on it. If you have already printed it off then they suggest that you write the zone letter on to assist the marshals in getting you to the correct spot.
Plan can be seen here.

Hi Peter,
What sort of time are we required to be there? See the show starts at 0930.
Hopefully the current weather forecast remains!

Hi Andy,
Officially I see the ticket says you must arrive before 1.00 !
However the queues to get in are usually bit long after 9.00. I guess if you don’t want to get out of bed at the crack of sparrows then after 10.00 should be OK.
I am aiming for 8.30 to set up our club banner and flag.
Plenty of food stalls if you want breakfast when you get there.
Yes, weather wise we just want the current forecast and not for the wet front to move forward or back 24hrs.
Fingers crossed.
