Lucas DB 10 wiring

Post by ALF »

I did wire my light setup with a Lucas DB10 and a FL5 based on the wiring diagram on the 289 manual.
Unfortunately on the diagram it has only one turn signal indication light on the dash. But the 289 has two lights (left/ right).

Therefore I did rewire the indicator lights and did connect each of them to the DB10 (2/6) and disconnected on the FL5 connection P.

Now it seems to me that the front turn signal (Lucas L539) are not bright enough.
Is this wring correct or do I need to add resistors between the indication lights and (-) to get the indication circuit higher Ohm compared to the L539?
