My Hawk was registered in 2000, but was issued with a date related plate EBW 178J. The engine ( Number is 15D059618 which indicates a 3.5L but upgraded to 3.9 by Progress Engineering) fitted to a 1981/85 RR, so does the age related part refer to the donor i.e 1970 MGB.?
The only note on the V5 is "Rebuilt assembled from parts etc."
Fortunately my MoT man is into classics and uses his old manual MoT machine and is ,how does one put it.......understanding when it comes to emissions. But by what rules should he be going by?

Re: MOT emissions
I'd get in touch with DVLA and see about getting it added to the V5 as you may have issues going forwards. Enmisions are relevant to the engine age. If your engine was originally in your donor vehicle then it would be vehicle age. If you get a certificate of engine age from one of the RV8 providers it will support the amendment.
