When my car gets hot, I’ve noticed the clutch pedal gets a bit jerky (sticky?) when I let it up from a standstill or pushing down when coming to a stop. It’s not awful but I was wondering what the cause might be. All other times, it’s lovely and smooth. If it gets jerky and I turn the car off, I can push it down and let it up and it seems nice and smooth, but with the engine running, “sticky”
The slave is close-ish to the exhaust but not right next to it.
Any ideas?

Re: Jerky clutch pedal
Is the slave cylinder end of the clutch fork clearing the chassis tube?
Cheers, Clive.

Re: Jerky clutch pedal
The only difference with the engine not running is the fly wheel and clutch aren't spinning.
You might need to split the engine and box to make sure everything is still tight. Plenty of possible causes for clutch judder. I always use blue loctite or Arp thread sealant on clutch and flywheel fastenings.

Thanks Stu,
Pretty sure there’s nothing loose in that department either. On my TR6 (fitted with a Rover V8) I used to get something similar. This was cured by relieving the edges of the release bearing release sleeve to enable it to move smoothly. I wonder if this is something similar?
