I checked mine yesterday.
Pleased to say I couldn't shift any of them.

Same here. Checked them all yesterday. I didn’t expect to find a problem after 20 years but then I would look very silly if a wheel came loose and I hadn’t checked after Simon’s discovery. At least it gave an opportunity to clean the rear of the wheel properly.

As metric, imperial and other thread dimensions can be very close together and somehow "fit", i can only reccomend to use a good thread gauge tool to avoid such unclarity. It served me very well in the past.

Don't know. But why not buy regular Torque Thrust wheels, get them to a machine shop and bolt on the splined adapters. I bought my adapters over in USA and the still have them. But Gerry will sell you a set for sure.
Had these wheels on my Magnum. But bolt on version.

And the look great and special to a 289. Have never seen them in the flesh on a replica 289.
