Hi gentlemen,

Just out of interest has anyone fitted an oil cooler to there Rover V8. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes
19 row cooler fitted upright to one side of the nose to clear the rad. thermostatic valve fitted in lines.
Amazing difference to hot oil pressure, increase of 10 psi and instead of oil running at well over 100 deg, it now runs no more than 85 ish.

I think the question has to be has your oil temp been high enough to cause concern. I have only seen mine up at 85+ once during an extremely hot day but usually resides around 75. I liked the idea of having a cooler for authenticity but thought why bother if it’s not a problem.
Or maybe at my next oil change I should put the sender into boiling water to check it’s working accurately ?

I have an oil cooler too and has no thermostate connected to it. In Winter I have to put a piece of sheet metal in front of it. If not it will not rise above 50
