That’s a respectable power output for a rover. I’m hoping to have something like that in my next car, can you tell me how it was achieved?

My Rover has gas flowed heads with bigger valves. 41.25mm inlets, 37mm exhaust.
Cam is an RC87 which is similar to a Piper 270 but with a tad more lift like the 285.
I think I wrote an article about the mods.
Power available will also be dictated by other criteria like the design of exhaust system.
The rolling road engineer thought I had lost some BHP by rerouting the exhaust up and over the axle. Basically minus 5 for the exhaust and plus 10 for the larger valves ( by JE Engineering) .
Another member has a recent 4.6 from V8 Developments with 280bhp at 5600 and 312 ft/ lbs at only 3800.
Yes, power is probably more expensive to get with a Rover than with a Ford but we carry 75 kgs less weight.
