Yes, Peter,
Ford and Edelbrock put a lot of emphasis on fitting the manifold correctly and torqueing up over a run in period.
One way of testing is to spray easy start near the manifold joint. If there is a change in engine note you may well have a leak.
Don't overdo it though, near the exhaust!!

You may have nailed it Peter. I just checked the manifold bolts and a number needed tightening with one on the offending side being just over finger tight! All re-tightened. Will see if it has solved the slight stutter and monitor the plugs for colouration going forwards.
