Yes, I hadn't realised it would become such a popular mod, or I'd have made some proper drawings! One of the trickiest bits was getting Orson to make 42mm bolt-on splined hubs that would fit a 5-stud Jag PCD. I think they now have a set of production drawings for that so can reproduce them more easily.
The other bit you need to get right is the handbrake cable mount at the front of the chassis. I used XJ40 handbrake cables and welded up some bracketry at the front to support both cables by the lever, but there are now many answers out there for this. A looped rear cable with a single short cable to the lever might work well.

Ed provided a couple of cables. I need to take a closer look at what I’ve got and how the various brackets of Gerry’s fixing kit should be configured. Just three pieces of metal and a bag of bolts 🤔

Gerry does a fixing kit for the outboard disc conversion? I didn't know that. He certainly didn't when I devised it.

Would it be any different Roger? For what I can see the kit attaches solely to the diff casing so the location of the callipers shouldn’t impact on the kit. I’ll take another look.

I can’t answer that Dave, I’ve never seen any kits for this brake mod. When I designed it I just made up my own brackets.

We MAY be taking at crossed purposes. The fixing kit I’m referring to is the main chassis mounting for the diff assembly. Nothing to do with brake mounts or anything like that.

Ah - are you converting from a live axle? I assumed you were changing from the early Jag inboard discs to the later outboard.

Did the same thing myself recently (just to standard inboard brakes) it’s transformed the car.

That’s what I hear. It should be better mated to the SBF than the current setup although we have done many happy miles on the MG rear.

I previously had a Rover 4.6 installed so the MG setup worked well. Always looking for that next project though
