That's true, Clive, but it was the later 'MkIII', sold as 'AC 289s' rather than Cobras, which had the coil spring chassis. According to the books, no coil spring cars were slabsides, all had the wider wheelarch flares and the cut-away doors. Their chassis are entirely different.
"AC 289 Sports" to give it it's full title.

I don't understand you comment about wheel arch flares and cut-away doors Roger. :?: I assume you aren't saying that all coil-sprung cars had cut away doors?

I'm saying that all coil-sprung cars, to my knowledge, had wider rear arches to varying degrees. No 'slabsides'.

Hi Greg,

Your application form arrived today, many thanks. Unfortunately we don't get our post until the afternoon which means I miss the collection time on a Saturday, but I will pop your membership details in the post anyway so you will get it ASAP.

Cheers.

That is amazing!

The post is flown in from England most days, if the weather is bad, sometimes it can have to wait several days!

I will look forward to receiving my membership.

Thank you!

Greg.
