LT77, Hawk, I have a shortened selector to swap?

Post by alexb74 »

Hi Chaps

I recently bought an LT77 box from Mr Dave Woodwar's 289 (I also had his old engine).

Having now lined up the engine & box in my Sumo, I have now found that the 'hawk spec' shortened selector unit is too short for my chassis so I need to replace it with an unshortened one. Rather than buying one, If anyone has one in good nick that you'd like to swap let me know.

If i cant find one to swap, then it'll be up for sale shortly

Cheers

Greetings: did you manage a swap? I am doing a gearbox swap at the moment and wouldn't mind a shorter gear lever once I get the new box in. Excuse my naivity - is a shortened selector a shorter lever? The interior on mine isn't yet done so relocating in the transmission tunnel is not an issue - provided it doesn't foul the dashboard. Thanks

Hi Phid,

As per our PM conversation - I still have the shortened selector (not stick) available.

Cheers

Hi mark

Sorry I've only just seen your post. I've sourced an unshortened one already - not sure of the length, but I believe mine was done by hawk themselves (lovely welding) - its going to go on ebay, but happy to sell it on direct if it would suit you?

Hi Alex
Its something I have considered, moving the stick forward. If its not too much trouble please tell me how much it will place the stick further forward than a stock remote, and a price please.
PM is fine.
