Hi all,
We are looking to put our Hawk 289 Sebring through its IVA (when coronavirus allows!) and need the following IVA compliant parts:
1. Spinners x 4 (same thread as aluminium type supplied by Gerry Hawkridge, see photo 1)
2. Fuel filler cap (current one does not comply with IVA, see photo 2)
3. Steering wheel and centre boss (same fitting as Hawk steering wheel from Gerry, photo 3)
Happy to buy or borrow - whichever suits. Please let us know if you can help. Thanks!

Re: Parts wanted for IVA test
I’ve got spinners and a wheel you are welcome to borrow. The wheel has the “collapsible” element but you’ll need a boss.
Pm me if it’s of interest

Re: Parts wanted for IVA test
Those aero screens will not pass IVA as I doubt they are E Marked or radiused correctly.

I believe the car can be tested without a windscreen?

Re: Parts wanted for IVA test
It can be tested without a windscreen but I have known testers to deem the car incomplete. On the day, the testers verdict is final irrespective of the interpretation of the rules.
Read the requirements on petrol caps, also on maximum protrusions. You may need to be creative with the solution!

I agree with Stewbie,
As you have a heater and vents it's obvious that you'll be fitting some kind of screen. Now or later.
If you remove the aero screens they may think "incomplete".
Catch 22 I think.
I have an aero fuel cap on mine so no IVA issues there.
I have an aero screen too, but I'm actually going to fit a full screen instead and probably a Le Mans hard top or her indoors wouldn't get in the car.

Re: Parts wanted for IVA test
Thanks everyone for your comments - given us lots to think about!
KevinW - can't remember where the aero screens were from but they were bought on Gerry's recommendation, not for IVA but the same type used on Hawks 'Executor' car no 96 (yellow) i believe
Simonjrwinter - many thanks for the offer, we'll be in touch
Slowjoe/Stewbie/Kdavies3 - OK we'll have a think about the windscreen situation, may be worth doing before the IVA after all. And will look into getting an aero fuel cap as well.
Out of interest does anyone have a test centre they would particularly recommend? We are based near Oxford.

Re: Parts wanted for IVA test
I had problems at Gillingham, but maybe because they hadn't seen a Crendon before, and we arrived 10 mins late (another story).
They won't accept stickers on switches btw. AFAIK all other IVA stations are happy with stick on labels like those available from CBS.
