i´m "the newbie" here and hope to find likeminded petrolheads - AND some hints to my next car...

I´m looking for a Hawk AC Ace Replica - any condition, abandoned projects considered as well as "concours" cars!

Let´s see what the future will/may bring....

Hi Jochen, welcome to the Club!

There is a very nice looking Hawk Ace for sale at O Rouge Motorcars which I would love to see, and particularly hear, as it is fitted with a Daimler ‘Hemi’ 2.5 V8!

There seems to be an increase in demand for Aces lately, I hope you find what you are looking for!

i can report success!

I just acquired Tony´s Hawk Ace just last week. Thank you dear Tony, it was a pleasure!

And in late 2021 i also acquired a BRA 289 Mk II - which still is kind of a project, but will be on the road soon too (hopefully that is...)

Welcome, i’m glad you found an Ace so quickly. I think you will find the Daimler V8 a smooth operator,
I will always remember a fellow student at college who appeared to have a Lotus Cortina Mk1. The classic 2 door in white with green stripe. Except where the yellow Lotus badge should be on the rear wing there was a discreet black disc with the letter D.
Yes, the letter was recognisable as the Daimler script and yes he had a 2.5L Daimler V8 under the bonnet.
He would exit the college car park with the rear wheels just gently over rotating with the minimum of fuss and noise.
Quite a Q car at the time.
