Ford 302 engine for sale

Ford 302 engine for sale. Engine block dated between 87 and 92 so not ideal for IVA purposes.
Removed from my GT40 replica and not run for more than a decade. Built by the original owner of the car in the early 90’s and has covered 8,100 miles only.

Engine has Dart big valve (steel) heads (+30% larger than standard valves) Chamber volume 64cc CR 9.7:1 stainless valves
Double valve springs
Screw in rocker studs
Reed camshaft (duration 272_282, 530 thou lift)
Crane chrome_moly pushrods
Magnum 1.6 roller tipped rockers and guideplates
TRW forged pistons, moly rings
Vernier timing gear
Rods lightened and balanced
High volume oil pump

Engine has been partly dismantled for inspection.
Heads look perfect (heads off)
Bottom end also (sump off)
Bores also look good apart from some very slight water ‘staining” on a couple of bores.
Personally I would think they may hone up fine, But please recognise I am no expert and it may need a rebore (please come and inspect for yourself)

Original owner quoted 350 BHP for this engine.

Can we ask what engine is lined up to replace it.
Smaller as in a genuine 289 or bigger as in 347 stroker or maybe even bigger still.

Nice. Seems to be in fashion at the moment. I guess you will be wanting/ expecting 400-450 BHP.

Not sure what it will kick out. Going to see how it performs in the ‘40 once restored and if it’s tracktable enough may do a swap with the Hawks engine. I suspect it may be a bit too much of a beast to suit my driving.
